In Home & In Center ABA Services

Overview

The ABRITE Organization is devoted to providing individualized behavioral services to children and adolescences from 1 to 18 years of age. We utilize the principles and methods of ABA by analyzing the child’s specific needs and creating an individualized learning environment and program of instruction. We accomplish this goal by identifying the conditions under which each learner will reach their optimal potential.

Following an assessment, our team will start building a program tailored toward your child starting with an assessment by our BCBA’s

Our Approach to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Assessment
Intervention

In order to get a comprehensive understanding of a learners strengths, weaknesses, and behavioral patterns, our team conducts 2 basic types of assessments: assessments of undesirable behavior and developmental / skills assessments. These assessments allow us to determine hour recommendations and help to develop a highly individualized treatment plan tailored to a learner’s specific needs.

Each learner will experience intervention sessions in their natural environment. During intervention sessions, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works from the learner’s individualized treatment program and targets the included developmentally appropriate goals and objectives. The RBT implements teaching procedures with empirical support from the ABA research literature and takes data on the learner’s performance for later analysis.

Verbal / Vocal Behavior

Verbal / Vocal Behavior focuses on teaching and improving communication skills by identifying and addressing specific language deficits. The four types of verbal operants we target are called: a) Echoics, b) Mands, c) Tacts, and d) Intraverbals. This approach is sometimes referred to as the Verbal Behavior Approach.

Caregiver Training

Caregiver training is provided to assist parents, guardians, and other family members in furthering their child’s development while decreasing behaviors that may interfere with their child’s learning, as well as improving the overall parent-child dyad interaction. All data suggest that the more a caregiver participates in their child’s intervention, the more gains that are achieved. Therefore, we are committed to parent training for each and every learner we work with!

How Do I Pay for Services?

There are now many options for funding sources for a family to consider. First, there are always some state and federal resources such as Medi-Cal and your local Regional Center. In addition, most states have now passed legislation to ensure that insurance companies have to assist families and provide medically necessary services (such as ABA). In addition, your child’s local school district can assist with providing educationally based services after your child’s 3rd birthday.
