OUR PHILOSOPHY

The ABRITE Organization is devoted to improving the lives of young learners with the use of early intensive intervention based on the principles of behavior analysis. ABRITE views each child as an individual and develops an educational curriculum that addresses the learner's unique strengths while remedying deficits. This goal is achieved solely with the use of empirically supported methodologies as we believe further development and dissemination of validated practices will be the way by which families and science can unite to improve the lives of children with autism and developmental delays.

The ABRITE Organization was founded by two dedicated behavior analysts, Dr. Ginger Wilson and Dr. Janice Doney. Both Dr. Wilson and Dr. Doney completed their graduate training in the Psychology Program at the University of Nevada-Reno. It was during their graduate careers that their expertise and passion for treating children with autism developed and shaped a path that led these two colleagues to create an organization that offers premier services for children with learning delays. Both Dr. Wilson and Dr. Doney feel strongly that their extensive clinical and research experiences allow them to design individualized programs which greatly benefit children and families.

They believe that further dissemination of their approach will help them to touch more children and caregivers affected by autism. They share the philosophy that the progress of the children they serve dictates their success rather than the financial prosperity of the organization. For this reason, Dr. Doney and Dr. Wilson are unwilling to sacrifice quality of services for expansion and instead maintain a client base that allows for both clinicians to remain involved in all areas of each child's program.
